What I Do

I am a long‑time maintainer of Knative, the Kubernetes‑based platform for building and running serverless and event‑driven workloads. Knative adoption continues to grow across the industry, and my work focuses on ensuring that the project remains stable, secure, and operationally sound as that adoption scales.

Engagement Model

Engagements are structured as a retainer, following the full-time maintainer consulting model.

Instead of fixed scopes or hourly billing, you reserve a portion of my time on an ongoing basis. This model is intentionally designed for complex, evolving technical systems where the most valuable work cannot be fully specified upfront.

• Work is prioritized continuously based on current needs
• Context compounds over time instead of being lost between engagements
• Deep system knowledge enables faster debugging and better decisions
• Incentives are aligned toward long-term correctness and maintainability

This approach works particularly well for open-source-adjacent infrastructure, internal platforms, and systems that require sustained expert attention rather than short bursts of consulting.

Knative Roles & Responsibilities

I currently serve the Knative project in multiple capacities, each focused on long‑term project health and sustainability.

Serving Working Group Lead

• Ensure regular and predictable project releases
• Review, discuss, and record architectural and feature decisions
• Establish and maintain a community‑driven roadmap
• Maintain codebase health through PR review, bug fixes, and feature development

Steering Committee Member

• Steward the overall direction of the Knative project
• Support and coordinate across working groups
• Engage with the CNCF on governance, events, and project lifecycle
• Define and evolve community scope, standards, and extension points
